Students compare the costs and financial rewards of various career paths. They also consider non-financial factors such as satisfaction. 

Thinking Globally 

Students analyze various worldwide economic and demographic trends. They then reflect on what future opportunities the trends will lead to. 

Thinking about a Career in … 

Students analyze data on how well students who took different courses did in the various university entrance exams (e.g., the MCAT exam for medicine). They see that physical sciences students perform well. 

Individual Pathways Plan 

Students analyze the essential skills highlighted in the accompanying classroom video. They then create a plan that will help them improve these skills. 

Pitch a Career Plan 

Students develop a presentation for their career plan and then give it to their class. They receive feedback on their plan. 

Senior Advice 

Senior students give presentations to grade 10 students. Each presentation details what a student learned in a particular senior course. 

STEM Skills 

Students reflect on the essential skills they have learned in different STEM (science, technology, mathematics, and engineering) classes.
