TN - The Expanding Universe

Workshop Abstract: Edwin Hubble was the first scientist to observe that our Universe is expanding but evidence for the expanding universe was actually there for everyone to see when they looked at the night sky. In this workshop we will explore the evidence for the expanding universe, the age of the universe, the possible outcomes for the universe and we will use a variety of low-cost hands-on apparatus to explore how we can teach this amazing idea. Collaborations between Perimeter Institute researchers and classroom teachers have produced this classroom ready resource, The Expanding Universe.
