Making Models: Wooden Blocks
The Wooden Blocks activity is a powerful illustration of how scientific models are constructed. Students make observations of a simple wooden cube that has labels on five of the six faces. The students then discuss the patterns that they infer and develop a model that allows them to predict the label on the sixth face.
