Discovering Gravitational Waves

This hands-on activity uses simple materials to model spacetime and the effect that gravitational waves has upon it. Students also learn about the fundamental science behind LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory) and how gravitational waves are detected with this device.
